I was going through what’s left of my vinyl collection the other day. I’ve only got about 100 left, and I’d love to get some more. One caught my eye; The Best OF The Doobie Brothers, from 1976. 11 of their best up to that point. No matter how many times I hear those songs, they still rock. Including the ones that technically don’t rock, like the ballad South City Midnight Lady, a Patrick Simmons masterpiece. And to prove how ell the song stands up, a live version from the bands Wolf Trap from 2004. The sax solo really adds something to the song as well.
