October 1968, the late great Glen Campbell released the song “Wichita Lineman”, written by Jimmy Webb.  It was a huge hit…it went to number 3 on the pop charts and stayed in the top 100 for 15 weeks, it went to the top of the country charts for two weeks and the adult contemporary chart for six weeks.  I’ve always been a Glen Campbell fan…even had the chance to meet him when he came to Boise years ago.  I had no idea he did a version of Wichita Lineman with Stone Temple Pilots….but he did.  I have no idea what prompted this version, and honestly I don’t what to know.  I’m just going to add it to my Favorites and listen/watch it over and over.  And over.
