Last week I shared a cover version of John Lennon’s Imagine by A Perfect Circle. I’d like now to share another song they covered, this one by Led Zeppelin. OK, so the Zep version is actually a cover as well. When The Levee Breaks was first written and recorded by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie-husband and wife. Led Zep credited Memphis Minnie and members of Zep as song writers, their version based on the original. A Perfect Circle got a hold of it and rearranged it in their own unique style, and quite frankly really did a great job! The video is of a live performance, not the studio version, but I’ll tell ya, it gives me the chills ever time I hear it!
