It was a sad thing to start the day with David Bowie’s passing.  You don’t have to like all of his music to understand the genius, and his album Blackstar is, well, a true David Bowie album.  And, in true Bowie style, the title of the album is a Black Star, not the words Blackstar. Only 7 songs.  If you have not heard it, you can at least read about it here.  And it’s a fascinating read, published in Rolling Stone November 23rd, before the world knew he had cancer.  If you get the chance, listen to it.  You don’t have to like it, but it proves again David Bowie was a genius, and not afraid to make the music he wanted.
