As I was reading about Mick Jagger getting back on stage after his heart surgery, and listening to The Beatles “Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey”, it got me thinking about one of my favorite Stones songs. and how amazing it is that, even after heart surgery, Mick can still get on stage and be Mick Jagger. And yet, it is a monkey song. This is form 2003, a live version of “Monkey Man” by the Rolling Stones. I’mean, who can argue with lyrics like these? “Well I hope we’re not to messianic/Or a trifle too satanic”!
