On this day in 1845, Edgar Allen Poe’s The Raven was published for the first time. I’ve always loved Poe, macabre, moody, downright creepy. So it should not be a surprise that I am also a fan of The Alan Parsons Project album “Tales Of Mystery And Imagination”. It should also not surprise anyone that I was asked NOT to play The Raven on the air to celebrate the day, so I’ll play it here. Oh, and did you know that Poe originally had the bird as a parrot, not a raven? Me either….
