Metallica tonight in Boise!  This will be my 4th time seeing them live and I’ve been a fan forever. I saw them the day after my 21st birthday in Camden, NJ with Days of the New and Jerry Cantrell from Alice In Chains and very hungover.  Then I saw them in Woodstock ’99 with Kid Rock and like 50 other bands.  Kid Rock drank Jack Daniels from the bottle and sat on the drum riser almost the whole show.  Then I saw them on the Death Magnetic Tour in Kansas City with The Sword and Down.

I remember the 1st time I heard Metallica.  Up to that point I listened to the Beach Boys, some RUN DMC, maybe some Billy Joel?  I can’t even remember music BM.  Before Metallica. My parents did buy me a Bon Jovi tape because they knew it was safe but I can honestly say I’ve never paid money for a Bon Jovi album. Joe Dirt: “Hell no, man I don’t listen to that crap! I’m a rocker, dude through and through. Here’s my favorite bands: AC/DC, Van Halen, not Van Hagar, Skynyrd…”

I’ve been listening to nothing but Metallica the past 6 days getting ready and I thought to myself, “I could create the ultimate Metallica set-list”.  After 3 songs I realized it’s not that easy.  They just have too big of a library and honestly they could play anything and I’d probably still enjoy it just the same, but I gave it a shot so here you go.  What did I miss?  – Forrest
