I’m generally a stickler for originals.  But as my last few posts have shown, there are times that a cover meets my high standard of approval (please read with a little sarcastic tone!)  Evanescence singer Amy Lee has an incredible voice, and while I’m not necessarily a fan of Evanescence, I DO like her singing.  So, when I was looking for cover songs to actually LIKE, I was presented with her version of Going To California.  All I can say is wow.  Just…..wow.  While she doesn’t depart form the original too far, it is just enough to make it interesting….oh, and really good!
