I am a huge Toto fan. I am not a huge Weezer fan. I do like a few of their songs, but I don’t own a single one of their albums. So when I heard Weezer covered Toto’s Africa, I listened to it, and liked it a lot. But I didn’t feel the need to broadcast my feelings. Then, I saw the video below. I felt it necessary to make sure you have heard, and now seen this cover. They performed it live on Jimmy Kimmel, and none other than Steve Porcaro comes out on statge long enough to play the solo. BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!! By the way, Weezer’s cover is their highest charting hit since 2009…number 89 on the Billboard Hot 100 cart. Oh, and Steve Lukather also approves!
