It was March 23rd when Weird Al took the stage at The Apollo Theater. We all know he can parody the heck out of someone else’s music, and we all know he kills it on the accordion. But can he do something seriously? Well, sort of. The 23rd, he covered Neil Young’s Cinnamon Girl. As much as I dislike cell phone footage of concerts, I had to watch to see how it came out. Would he goof the lyrics? Would he play accordion? Would I click the link and get Rick Rolled? He and his band did a great job with the song, and AL even did the guitar solo, which is interesting….because he doesn’t play the guitar. That’s where the “maybe” comes in. Watch for yourself. Again, it’s a good cover, and really worth the view!
