It was on this day in 1992, that the world lost one of the greatest drummers you may have never heard of, but have defiantly heard. Jeff Porcaro died in his front yard while he was spraying insecticide. The first thought was he had an allergenic reaction to the insecticide. In reality, it was the result of his arteries being all hardened up from all the cocaine ingested while Toto was living the Rock & Roll lifestyle. The video is my favorite Toto song. Watch it closely for the close ups of Jeff, and you can see that he not only makes what he’s doing effortless, but he really loves what he’s doing.
